How to fix my work situation
How I did it: It took me a long time to decide to mark this as done, and I'm still not entirely sure, because there are always things to fix in work, as in life. But the important thing is that I was in a particular situation I didn't like that wasn't great for my career or happiness - and I got out of that situation, and eventually found myself a different one. It's early days in what I'm doing now but I'm learning useful things and developing new skills and experience.
Lessons & tips: This really depends on the situation, but some general advice:
-Think about what you're looking for, what you do and don't like about what you're doing
-If you're in the sort of company where you could leave one role for another (as I am), make it clear to those around you that you want to leave your role. Think about how to get a replacement for you and keep making it clear that you want to move on. It's good if you can identify where you want to move on to, but I ended up finding something unexpected, thanks to networking.
