How to get a raise
How I did it: I was flexible, communicative, and got involved in some additional projects. I made it known to my boss that I wanted to be a high achiever. Even though it was the toughest year of my life, my company recognized my efforts and gave me a 9% raise. It was slated to be a 14% raise but the company limited the overal budget for raises.
Lessons & tips: Find projects to get involved in. If you have tough things going on in your personal life, be open about it. Do your best! Ask for what you think you deserve.
