How I did it: Ok, so I don't remember exactly when I started saving up, but I know my ex boyfriend got a Verizon brand one and I had it in my head that I wanted one, lol. I saw all the features on his and yeah. I noticed Straight Talk getting Droids and chose the LG Optimus Q because of the slide out keyboard. Either way, this Droid is great and definitely better than the Straight Talk phone I had before. My biggest complaint is that since my Droid runs off of Sprint, the service isn't that great, but it depends on the room I'm in. I'm assuming I'd get the best service outdoors which kinda is a bust, lol. Also, the keys are kinda hard to use and sometimes I press the wrong ones, but maybe that's just me. Overall, decent Droid for a no contract phone.

Lessons & tips: Make sure if you get a Straight Talk Droid that you check to see if you have Sprint towers in your area. I think my Droid - as well as the Straight Talk Galaxy Precedent - all run off of the Sprint network.
