How I did it: Fear comes and go,
Fear pulls me down so low,
Fear held me captive
and drown me deep in
emotional sea of no hope

Fear kept reminded me
of all the darkest moments
Fear paints a picture of
gray and shadow

As I begin the journey of dealing with my fears,
the moment I embrace it, I have found out
it had no power and it vanishes.

Here is how I learned,
I had a chance to do a public speaking and it put me in massive fear, I was paralyzed, I was shaking,
I was sweating, it was harder than walking on fire, it was more than fear of heights, it was more than fear of being in the car accident.  I had no idea why...

Until my coach, said to me on the spot

"you are afraid, aren't you!"
I replied, "yes, I am"
he said, "you used to be"
he said, "say, I used to be afraid"
I replied, 'I used to be afraid"

in that moment, I felt my fear left me
I fell in love with the microphone, and I
loved the sound of my voice.

I did not need anyone to pump me up
the courage
I did not need no more selfhelp books, cd, tapes, seminar
I did not need to memorize affirmations
I did not need to ask God and pray for confidence

I have found a simple way to apply
the word of God in action.
"the life and death is in the power of the tongue"

I knew the scripture, I had no idea
how to use it.

The quickest way I know to overcome my fear
is to see it is already done through Christ.
"I used to be afraid"
is not ...
i am afraid
is not
i was afraid
Until I decide it is done
I used to be afraid

The cross experience is to put it behind you
to put to fear behind you.  I used to fear, now I walk by faith in the Son of God
