How to wants to teach her children how to grow food and raise livestock.
"It has drawn us all closer together and taught us so much. As a parent I feel good about teaching my children about eating REAL foods that have not been processed and meats that are not pumped full of steroids, antibiotics."
How I did it: 1. Started a garden.
2. Built a coop, a stable, corral and cages.
3. Got the chickens and rabbits.
4. Took a Master Gardeners class.
5. TONS of research.
Lessons & tips: 1. Check out the extension offices where you live to find out what grows well where you live.
2. Check out the laws for raising livestock where you live.
3. Get the kids involved in every step of every process.
