PepperyJasmine Every day I get healthier in body, mind and soul.
I LOVE this goal. Congratulations and I think it is so healthy and awesome :) :) :)
How I did it: I just started spending less time with people who were disrespectful and venomous towards me. Eventually they trickled out of my life. I have identified 3 or 4 good people who I can trust and I am going to develop positive aquaintances by getting more into my hobbies.
Lessons & tips: Be strong, its hard letting people go. We get taught that "family and old friends are golden" and alot of people see this as open season to treat their oldest friends and family members very badly. Women especially get taught to put up with poor treatment from others as if being submissive is a virtue.... it really isnt.
First get out and start doing things you enjoy... develop friendships with people who are more respectful... this takes time.
Read about the drama triangle and assertiveness.
Then when you have identified the people who treat you well spend time with them.... if you already have good people in your life increase the time you spend with thema nd decrease the time you spend with disrespectful people.
Eventually you will find the strength to choose better in future.
Get a hobby... you need to learn to enjoy your own company!
