How I did it:
This took me about a year and a half to a year to do.
I started respecting myself more, and not ignoring my feelings. Appreciate little things.Don't be afraid of happiness because it doesn't last. Misery goes away just as fast as happiness does.Remember that once you've hit rock bottom, you can't get any worse, you can only go up from there.
For a while I was taking Prozac, but I didn't really feel like it was working.
You can't be happy if you feel like you don't deserve to be happy.
You do deserve to be happy.
Try not to rely completely on other people, for your happiness. Love your family and friends and lover with all of your being but people can come and go out of your life at any time.
Lessons & tips:
- have respect for yourself
- be considerate but don't put other's happiness before yours, it's your life.
- when you feel awful, you need to let it out. don't be trying so hard to be happy that you think if you cry, you've ruined any progress you've made. you are human. humans cannot only feel one emotion. you'll feel worse if you don't just let it out. and if you feel awful but for some reason you can't cry, talk to someone, it usually helps you get it out.
