How to be genuinely happy
How I did it:
I started respecting myself more, and not ignoring my feelings. Appreciate little things.Don't be afraid of happiness because it doesn't last. Misery goes away just as fast as happiness does.Remember that once you've hit rock bottom, you can't get any worse, you can only go up from there.
Lessons & tips:
- have respect for yourself
- be considerate but don't put other's happiness before yours, it's your life.
- when you feel awful, you need to let it out. don't be trying so hard to be happy that you think if you cry, you've ruined any progress you've made. you are human. humans cannot only feel one emotion. you'll feel worse if you don't just let it out. and if you feel awful but for some reason you can't cry, talk to someone, it usually helps you get it out.
