How to lose 20 pounds
How I did it: I supported my Roomie as she started Weight Watchers. Even though I wasn't in the program I did adjust my eating habits with her, cooking meals using the program's recipes. Once I understood the substitutions I was able to easily adjust recipes to follow suit. I wasn't actively losing weight if I had been exercising too, it would have probably gone faster.
Lessons & tips: It's about portion control not just eating less. Understand that most 'American' servings are really 2x what you should be eating at one sitting. If you can't eat little bits throughout the day make what you do eat count... and not towards your waistline. You can have a cupcake just not 5 at once. You also don't have to buy the program's snacks, I never ate them.
