How to soften my feet
"Having soft, beautiful feet is one of the nicest feelings in the world."
How I did it: I had cracked heels from the very dry summer weather we've been having, so first I had to take care of that. I got a black pumice stone and gently used it on my heels every time I was in the bath or shower. It only takes a minute at most to do both feet. After I was out and dried, I applied Scholl's active repair cream which works miracles.
Once my heels were in good condition, I started applying a Feet First foot lotion just before bed about twice a week and sleeping in socks (well, at least trying to - I kept taking them off in my sleep). You can see and feel the difference the next morning, but it takes 2 weeks for your skin to become really soft and beautiful.
Lessons & tips: The foot lotion I selected turned out to have a strong shea butter scent which I found off-putting. If at all possible, try to find a foot lotion that doesn't overkill the perfume.
People say that olive oil works wonders. I experimented with both and personally found that foot lotions work better. Both give your skin a warm glow, but the lotion makes your skin softer.
If you're like me, you won't like sleeping in socks. It takes some getting used to, but you can become (somewhat) accustomed to it. The socks make all the difference, so it's worth trying to get used to it.
