How I did it: I read the drivers handbook before taking my written test and tried a 2nd time when I failed. Once I got my permit, I practiced driving every day until I felt comfortable behind the wheel. Then, I set up an appointment with the DMV and failed my 1st test. I decided to use the test sheet as a practice guide and started practicing my weak spots. Once I felt comfortable with those I re-took my test and passed.

Lessons & tips: Practice makes perfect. Also, as nerve-wracking as the DMV is, try not to be too nervous on the day of your test, it will make you drive worse.
