"Awwwwwesome :)"
How I did it: First I'd like to thank my husband N and and brother-in-law G, as this sky-dive experience was a birthday gift from them - N paid for it and G accompanied me! After a bit of safety training we were asked to don our jump suits and were strapped into harnesses. We then got on board a tiny flight and flew into the horizon. After about 15 mins of flying, we were about 13,000 feet above sea level. My harness was safely hooked onto the instructor's harness... and off he jumped into thin air! It was an amazing feeling. i didn't feel scared before jumping, but i found it difficult to breathe during the free-fall, probably because I didn't follow the instructions, i was swallowing large quantities of cold air. Soon i assumed i was going to die in the sky. Then once I forced myself to create a breathing pattern, i felt a bit reassured. Thankfully the instructor pulled the parachute just then, allowing me to breathe comfortably. At that moment i felt a mixture of relief, excitement, achievement, clam and awe...all at once. Needless to say the view, accentuated by the soft hues of dusk was exhilarating. All in all, a liberating learning experience. I'm very happy I did it once, but I don't think I'll do it again...well, I might :)
