How I did it: I booked a round the world ticket and off i went. I loved thailand but i would definitely recommend going to Laos and Cambodia if you want to see a less polluted version of asia. The south of thailand is a party and very western. The north of thailand is beautiful  bring a sweater though it can get chilly at night :)

Lessons & tips: always and i mean always barter for everything! just walk away and they will keep after you. and buy everything on your last few days you dont want to have to carry that stuff around the whole time.
