"Brrrrrrrrrrr-iliant!"
How I did it: I saw a Goupon offering an amazing discount for Hotel du Glace. I bought a plane ticket. I gathered my courage.
And went!

Lessons & tips: Anticipation and (fear?) is half the fun!
I upgraded my room to the one (and there is only one) with an outdoor private sauna and hot tub and indoor fireplace and living room type area. I liked this because I could undress in the warmth of the sauna.
Other people said they liked the community hot tubs because they met people from all over the world.
There are three types of rooms. The one I had, which is the largest suite. Then there are middle level rooms that are beautifully carved in the snow and with ice. Some have fireplaces. The smallest rooms do not have any carvings. The smallest rooms are said to be warmer, but honestly, my room had a door to my outside sauna, etc. that had a two inch gap all round when "closed". so basically, I was (laugh) scared about how cold my room would be.
If you follow the instructions you get in your training session on how to go to bed, you won't be cold, no matter what room you have. The mummy like thermal sleeping bags really do their job.
In case you are freaked out about the thought of this, remember that there is a heated building with showers, bathrooms, living room type couches. There is a small place that serves food. The hot chili really did the trick.
Resources: The staff at HdG is awesome. They are friendly, happy and really nice people.
I looked on the web to schedule dogsledding on my own. The best deal was through HdG. They provide the transportation to and from the dog sledding place, which is about 30 minutes north. I highly recommend the dog sledding!!!
