How I did it: Found a new place to live. 

Packed up all my stuff.
Took it to my new place. 
Cleaned out the old place. 

Lessons & tips: For clothes on hangers, put them in trash bags (the kind with the drawstring) and tie the string really tight around the hangers so they all stay together and facing the same way. If you're moving pretty far, throw a dryer sheet in each trash bag to keep clothes fresh. When you put them in your new closet, you just cut the trash bags off.

If your old apartment has dirty paint on the walls, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is a god send to help get your deposit back.

Don't forget to change your address with the post office, drivers license office, utility companies, magazine subscriptions, your bank, and your employer. 

Resources: Lots and lots of boxes. Don't be silly and buy boxes. You can get them for free at so many places. I work at Chick-Fil-A and our fry boxes are the perfect size to hold a lot of stuff but not be too heavy. We love to give them away because they take a lot of room in the dumpster. You can also try grocery stores.
