How I did it: Like I said in the summary, I took small changes. I started by snacking on nuts and fruits instead of things like a piece of toast or a bagel. I skipped most of the ridiculous gluten free breads, because they are expensive and disgusting. I started making breads myself and adding things to make it more moist (walnuts, fruit, banana). I have not mastered sandwich type breads, but I'm working on that next. I do allow myself some products that may have a small bit of gluten in it, but no more than 10%. This allows me things like my Chobani yogurt (YUM) and the like.
Lessons & tips: Start small. Say goodbye to most fast foods. Check out Bob's Red Mill gluten free flours. Skip the nasty premade breads or you'll never succeed, and at $6 a loaf, who can afford it anyway?

I just now saw these kind comments. Thank you so much! I am still gluten free, and have learned a new appreciation for it. I never knew how much it had affected me. But I feel about 1000% better! I try not to “preach” to my friends who have colon problems about the gluten free lifestyle, but it’s so hard!
