How to give blood by Jun Kit Man

"Drained.... but very happy"

How I did it: I
always said to myself I should give blood but I always made excuses to why I
shouldn't. My excuses range from feeling ill or I got no time but in truth I
was scared. I hate needles and the smell of sterile medical equipment.  


The
blood bank van was parked outside my house. I felt more determined then
ever.  
So I marched to the blood van and
rolled up my sleeves and said to the nurse "I would like to give
blood". She gave me some forms and a short questionnaire about my health.

Then
I laid down on the bed  trying to relaxed and gave blood. The whole process was quite easy and i felt an overwhelming sense of pride when I done it. I'm now on their bloody donor list
