How to foster an animal by LittleWolf

"How can you pass up these critters?!"

How I did it: I contacted a local rescue and let them know my situation. I ended up adopting a cat with Feline Lukemia because no one wants them. They are normal, great cats who might just have a little less time to live. Unfortunately, my little cat, Charlie, died about two months later. However, I had to go back and get his brother and another little FeLuk cat. We are now a happy little family. I can't believe people would pass up these cats just because of their conditions. Totally worth fostering an animal who needs some love. 

Lessons & tips: Make sure you find a good group to adopt/foster from. I am officially fostering because the rescue covers all medical bills.

Remember!

Remember, when you take an animal into your life and home, you can never throw them away. Many people do because they are hanging on by a thread or the pet becomes a hassle or inconvenient. If you aren’t sure you can afford to keep a pet, try volunteering so you can help out the animals, give them some much needed attention and cut down on any operating cost at a rescue or shelter.
