How I did it: Well, I got in the car, got some coffee, deposited a pay check and drove to South Carolina.  I spent three days at shows, with old friends, smoking hookah, drinking free coffee thanks to a best friend who works at Starbucks, and certainly not sleeping.  Yay college. 

Lessons & tips: Just get on the highway and go.  You might want to take off work first.  Or just call in sick?
