How I did it: I signed up for the exam via my work. I had an e-learning package which I followed. And after that it was just studying hard and doing a lot of practice exams to know what kind of questions they would ask. 

Lessons & tips: Plan out when you want to take the exam and make sure you study well in advance. You can't just do it in one night.... 

Resources: as I said, I had an e-learning module, but there are enough classes you can take on Prince 2 foundation.
