How to delete my facebook

Comments:

Good on you :)

Although I wouldn’t normally recommend such an extreme move, but it’s good to have “cold turkey” treatment if you’re very much addicted to Facebook. It would be painful initially. But it would give you more time to do other things that are more important :) Cheers!

this is good.

I rely on my online social networks. I wish I had closer “real” friends though. I get most of my “real” social interaction through classes and scheduled group events however I would like to schedule more one-on-one events but it’s hard for me to know if I will want to do something in advance like that…

I would like to be better at scheduling things in advance, I guess.

This is awesome!

I don’t get on FB often at all, but everytime I do I end up annoyed at all the banal status updates that you alluded to. Blah, blah, blah. Rarely is there anything of real importance going on. I’ve been considering deleting mine as well but haven’t yet because it is the easiest way to keep in touch with everyone from college, etc. I suppose I could just “un-friend” the majority whom I don’t even speak to (and honestly don’t care to). Really – if I’d have nothing to say to someone in real life, why am I friends with them online? It’s weird, Man.

My first step was to block the feeds of all the oversharers, figuring I must be missing the good stuff.

That’s when I discovered there was no good stuff.

Can I quote this?

I laughed so hard when I first read this response. It’s a month later – I just re-read it and I still lost it. I don’t know where or when, but someday, somewhere this quote needs to be presented to the world.

Sure!

You flatter me!
