How I did it: I started out writing about a simple memory of an event that happened when I was a child and tried to put in as much detail as I could to turn it into a story that would be interesting to read. I asked myself, "what happened, when did it happen, and what was special about it?" then I got started. Sometimes, it wasn't just a specific event but a series of memories about things that occurred everyday and how I felt about them.
