"Look, it is not an easy climb. There are folk here who are obviously well skilled. Be warned."
How I did it: Do Beerwah. Leave your baggage behind. There is bad press about this climb, "Oh it's dangerous", and yet there is chest puffing stuff, "I climbed Yosemite in five minutes", and the grade here is not 60, it's 40 etc etc. Have a care, really. Take a look at the climb and take it carefully, it's your life after all. There are sections that are 60.
Lessons & tips: It is a great achievement to get to the top and back to the car park
with your skin in place. Some people here think that they are well
above giving useful advice and instead poke fun. Do not listen to them,
and of course don't take your "kitchen sink??" just common sense. Yes
there are sections in excess of 60% and yes dunlop volleys are really a
great idea. So you are 50, so you've climbed a bit, so what.
