How to run a 5k
How I did it: I went to the gym 2-3 times each week or ran outside for about 20 minutes each time.
The couch to 5k plan really helped alot and I highly recommend this program for people wanting to begin running.
Lessons & tips: - Run as much as possible to build up the strength you need to have good endurance that will pull you through to the finish line.
- Do not push yourself too hard at the beginning because you might get tired and have to walk.
- go to the right side of the path so you can comfortably run at your own pace and you don't feel pressure to speed up.
- invest in good running pants and a belt to carry water
