How to make jewelry by Celestial_Fox

"The learning curve was extremely steep, but once you learn the basics, the art is very rewarding . . . and addicting!"

How I did it: I enrolled for a Beginning Metalsmithing and Jewelry class at my local university. At first I was very confused and intimidated, but I eventually got the hang of it. I have since made some nice jewelry, and I'll be back for another semester!

Lessons & tips:

  • Practice, practice, practice!
  • Be patient; your first project won't be your best! 
  • Look up tutorials online (especially on YouTube) for help. Books are also great resources. 
  • Find a mentor if possible! 
  • Experiment and have fun~
