How to quit Smoking
How I did it: This is my 5th time to quit and also the longest time I stayed quit. I did a lot of research about benefits of not smoking, withdrawal syndromes, read about how other people were handling their withdrawal. I quit drinking coffee, I picked a quit date(which was summer) where I had a lot of free time, and for the first week I stayed in bed a lot I also had this huge appetite, drank lots of water and on the second week I started building my routines, I jogged and worked out for 3 times a week. Whenever I got to hang out with friends and drank beer I just tried not to mind them smoking.
good luck! :)
Lessons & tips:
1. Pick a date where you have a lot of free time to stay in bed, eat, drink water and avoid any stress.
2. (optional) If you drink alcohol and want to quit smoking I suggest you hang out for a night with friends who drink and smoke but you don't get to smoke, If you manage not to smoke for that night(either by yourself or with support from your friends) I think you'll feel much better the next day knowing you beat the cravings plus you'll get an idea on how serious you are to quitting.
I think It's better to take this challenge(drinking booze) on the first day instead of trying to quit and then ending up smoking at a party a week later, it'll also save you from frustrations and a week of energy you've spent battling withdrawal. If you end up smoking on your first day then it's okay you're not that ready yet, set another day and try again.
3.(temporary) quit drinking coffee.
4. Get those red vine licorice sticks good for two weeks! >.<
5. Drink lots of water.
6. Stop thinking that quitting smoking is a sacrifice.
7. Exercise to feel more healthy.
8. Research about withdrawals and benefits of quitting smoking.
9.Watch motivational videos.
10. Hug your dog! :)

a bit corny but a great talk: pain is temporary, you could just avoid watching the video and just listen to it.
