How I did it: I looked up hard drives online and got an idea of how much I wanted to spend. I went into town and bought one. I followed the wizard. It took 3 hours, but now it is done.
As big an anti-climax as it felt buying the thing after owning this computer for 4 years and _never_ backing it up, I actually feel secure now. It's been taking 5-10 minutes for it to start up, so I'm getting worried it's about to die and I have all my photos stored on here. Now that it's done, I'm not so concerned about a virus knocking off everything.

Lessons & tips: If you don't do it, you're gonna cry when it's all gone.
