How to get a job by yesnomaybeso

"Persistence is key."

How I did it:  

I applied to many many places for a summer job, and I finally I got one at the YMCA—where I was originally turned away. I had worked 2 summers there for free, but then my boss, an amazing person, was laid off due to lack of enrollment in the camp and the need to promote someone else. So now I had no contacts there to help me get another job somewhere else. Fortunately someone I worked with last year was promoted and specifically asked for me when enrollment increased, and here I am with my first job.

Lessons & tips: Never give up, always put in your best effort, don’t lose hope, and put your best face forward. Have good character, be honest and hardworking, be loyal, and be persistent. You can do it, too!
