How to make a robot by allogenes

"Fun, but not stupendous; a lot of work to really make it worthwhile."

How I did it: I went to a local hackerspace to take an Arduino class and one of the project options for the class was to build a "photovore" type robot using the Arduino to make it flexible in how it processed the data from its sensors.  It was fun, but my first robot had a few design issues.  To really get it right I would need to do another.

Lessons & tips: Find people to work with or find a class to take.  Hackerspaces are great and you can find the closest one to you on 
hackerspaces.org if you live in a metro area.  If not, try looking around for anyone else interested in electronics!
