How I did it: I just up and decided to get a tattoo from a local store in Norman right after a pretty decent haircut. It was 50 bucks. I was really wanting to get a Deathly Hallows tattoo on my hand and I was inspired location-wise by a tumblr user. I brought in a picture of somebody who had the tattoo as well as a picture of the image itself. They made it smaller and inked it right on to my hand. Just communicate and be honest about exactly what you want, where, size, how, etc. - this part's essential, because tattoos are permanent, and you want to make sure that it is exactly what you want. Don't be intimidated either - the guys there were all really friendly and helpful.

Lessons & tips: Be wary of potential allergies; make sure you take proper after-care - that much is essential; if it starts to peel, that's okay, because it's supposed to do that - but be sure to let it peel on its own and NOT pull it off yourself.
