How to get into a VISTA program by leahmariee

"Hard work to get the position, but worth it!"

How I did it: I applied to many different VISTA programs in my state of Michigan and all over the US.  The programs are a year long, don't pay much, but are in high demand because they are a government job which looks great on a resume and can help get you places!  I actually was able to get a position in my home town and start in a month.

Lessons & tips: It took about a month to get this position.  Be patient and know that you might not always get the first position you apply for...they are in high demand and many others are trying to get the same position.
