How to quit Smoking
How I did it: I thought for a long time about it. I wanted to use zyban and the nicotine gum, but could only get one covered by health coverage. I had to wait until I was absolutely ready and committed. I have found that I haven't had to use much of the gum, for me it is more habit. The last few days have been atypical so easier than expected. I have kept busy (worked on some of my other goals like cleaning out my email inbox, purging old paper work etc). I have drank a lot of water. I am drinking Monavie acai berry juice to help rid the toxins from my body and using Monavie weight loss products to help ensure I don't switch from one unhealthy habit to another. I got rid of all ashtrays. Took all empty cigarette packages out of my car. I put all lighters in my emergency kit. All items related to smoking out of sight, out of mind. I called my boyfriend (who is currently a smoker) to let him know. I posted on Facebook and people have been so supportive. I told my kids who are thrilled. Now that everyone knows I am committed. It is what I really want and I am ready. Good luck to everyone in achieving this goal.
Lessons & tips: Think about why you want to quit. Make a list. Make a plan as to what you will do to change the habit. Tell people you are doing it so they can support you and keep you accountable.
