How to see the Golden Gate Bridge by Nikki

"A great sight to see but you only need to see it once."

How I did it: I have now seen the Golden Gate Bridge twice although the first time was fleeting. The first time I saw it we were on a bus driving past, caught a glimpse so quickly jumped off the bus and had a quick viewing.

The second time was much more planned. We paid for a Hop on Hop Off tour bus and actually got off the bus at the Golden Gate Bridge bus stop so we also viewed the gift shop, the information about its construction and took some great photos. 

We also booked tickets for Bay cruise which sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge. They gave us the best views for sure. It is much more impressive when you are below it and you see how big it is, or rather don't see the top and San Francisco always seems to be foggy. 

Lessons & tips:

  1. Choose a clear day to view it.
  2. If you buy the Hop On Hop Off bus tickets, buy them early morning and use them all day.
