"the beginning of a lot of savings"

How I did it: I have been saving for years. Since I was probably ten years old I would but my birthday and christmas money into the bank. When i got older and started babysitting, I would deposit most of that money too. Getting a real job, I started making money waaaaay faster, though i also had more expenses.

This money will all be going towards paying for my education, but it feels awesome to make it to this point. Definitely eases my mind knowing I won't have to take out a loan for the fall.

Lessons & tips: save everything you can.

save your random coins-- they add up.
set aside cash for spending, and put the rest in the bank so you only have the amount you want to spend, and don't charge it or make withdrawals all the time
