Well, the way you describe this made me remember the part of Douglas Adams’s HGTTG where they learn to fly simply by getting distracted when falling to the ground. No specific way to do this, just happens?

Well, it usually just happens because once I was daydreaming in my garden and then I found myself on the other side of the garden but also if you’re in need or if it is your deepest desire to shapeshift I guess you’d also be able to shapeshift.
