How I did it: I have a college degree and make between $10-13 per hour tutoring. It's not a lot, but it's fun and I get to do it in my pajamas. The company I work for is very well organized and works with the military, libraries and a number of schools around the country. It is definitely the best work from home job I could find.

Lessons & tips: You must have a degree to do this and you have to be able to summarize a problem very quickly since you have a limited amount of time with each student. You never know what kind of problem or question you're going to get, so you have to be good at multiple subjects and think fast.

Resources: The library, videos, online resources in my subject of study. There are lots of resources out there. Each company also has some very helpful tools for their tutors.
