How to get in shape
"I learned to listen to my body - what physical movement would assist me as my body at any given moment."
How I did it: After trying and following many sports like martial arts, swimming, body building, yoga I started to form my own exercising routine or movements.
The main point is to listen to my body and let the exercise be a support for my body instead of some fixed routine in order to achieve some goal like big muscles or getting thiner or similar. In this way exercising is really enjoyable, I do not harm my body through unnecessary strain and I am satisfied with my body as it is supported effectively.
Lessons & tips:
- Stop thinking about achieving something with your body.
- Start walking step by step, breath by breath and do what is most enjoyable and supportive for your body at the moment.
- Do not over-strain yourself.
