How to learn how to type fast without looking at the keyboard
How I did it: I learned the first semester of my freshman year in high school. It takes practice, repitition, and effort. Start with the home row keys, and slowly add letters. Once you have all the letters, stop thinking about it in letters, and start thinking in words. With practice, you will get to where it's smooth. Speed will follow after that.
Lessons & tips: Don't look at the keyboard. Learn where backspace is, and if you mess up, hit backspace and try again. It will help you remember where that key is the next time.
Resources: If you have the option to take it in highschool, do it! If you are past that point, immitate what they do there- my suggestion is to pull up a document from the internet, then pull your word/other typing screen up, and shape it to the bottom half of your PC screen. Look only at the screen, mostly at the document, and type. If you have a habit of looking at the keyboard, and can't break the habit, cover your hands and the keyboard with paper so you don't have the choice.
