How to go on a roadtrip

How I did it:
- Made plans for July.
- Composed a list of all things I needed to take with me (also useful when gathering things to go back)
- Printed hard copies of directions
- Got my car checked out
- Packed and worried a bit (read a how to change a tire tutorial)
- DROVE to Colorado! :)
Lessons & tips:
- it helps to schedule/commit to a concrete event - we did a baseball game, to make sure that plans don't get cancelled on a whim
- bring lots of water and snacks in a cooler
