How I did it: OK, I have to admit that I am trying to make my goals measurable. I realised after adding this one that it's difficult to define 'really good'. I gave a presentation last week, at a higher-profile conference than I have previously been at, and didn't get destroyed in the Q&A, so I'm defining that as good- OK? :)
How I did it- I was invited to give a talk, put some slides together and gave the talk... :D
Lessons & tips: The usual presentation advice:
1. Put aside at least a couple of days to make the powerpoint slides good
2. Run through the talk at least once beforehand, preferably in front of someone else
3. Speak up
4. Don't forget to have a backup of your slides with you on a USB stick
