How I did it: We took a loss on the sale of our home, but we needed to do this in order to move on with our life. It was so worth it. We first moved into a rental in a small school district. Then after a year of renting we moved into a  family-friendly neighborhood. Yes we got a little lucky, but its great. The kids play outside all day, the neighbors have each other over. Amazing.
