"It was hard trying to find someone, until that someone found me..."
How I did it: After being let down by my best guy friend, the last thing he said before we went to our christian camp was "I think it's better if you find someone your own age." My youth traveled all the way to Georgia, and I couldn't help but not to let go.... just yet.
For a couple of days, I noticed that he was going all girl crazy and left our group to chat with them; he even ate lunch everyday with a different girl. So during our free time me and and my friend walked all around the camp, talking to guys and all. There were some who started to like me... kind of obvious. But... I just knew they weren't the one for me.
The day before we leave camp, I meet this guy. I seriously thought he was 13, but he's actually 15 (I'm 14). It was a coincidence how we both sat in the same row together in the auditorium that day. He started talking to me... and I started talking to him. What I automatically felt inside was a neutral and mixed feelings. We kept talking, even when it came to our next activity. I asked him if he want's to sit with my group at lunch, and he did. So we got closer as time went by.....
That night when we went back to the auditorium to listen and sing worship music, I saw that he was sitting with my group, and saved a seat for me. ^__^ My feelings built up so quickly over the time we spent that day. When we were standing up to sing the music, I couldn't help but slowly move my hand next to his, and I could tell he was doing the same thing. In the end... we both touched each other hands and when he looked at me and smiled, we started holding hands. After that we started going out. We still are, too. :)
Sadly, we live in different states, but it's not really that hard for us to maintain our relationship. We text and call each other everyday. I know we'll see each other... soon. :)
