How to donate blood

How I did it: I went to a center to donate and had an allergic response to the meds they give you to keep you from getting sick afterwards. I almost went into a coma, and all i really remember is throwing up and everything spinning and a nurse screaming at me to keep my eyes open as well as a bald guy in the chair next to mine looking really worried...
Lessons & tips: If you are going to donate make sure you don't have anywhere to be the next day (I was supposed to be flying out to the Philippines the next morning) and have your will in place in case you die.
