How to make friends at my new school

How I did it: When I first started at my new school my friend that had transfered there before me introduced me to her friends. I met people in classes and in SSR (dont ask lol) and I met a couple people who I got along really well with from day 1. On Day 2 I wanted to make sure that they actually would still be around and that they weren't just random people going 'zomg hi new kid' and they really were still around. Now we hang out like everyday at school. It's so wonderful and they're very nice.
