Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

How to buy a new camera - that can do a lot more than the one I currently have!

I am so excited about my new camera…I can’t wait to take more photos and see the difference between my old 5MP and my new 14MP! I love this camera and I think it was a good investment. I’ll be paying on it for the next year, but still…it’s well worth it! :-)

This weekend...

This weekend I am making a date with my camera! The weather is going to be ‘nice’ (warmer than today at least!!!!) and I plan on learning what all it can do and capture some of fall. I can’t wait to upload the photos I’ll take and then order them. I want to order at least 2 or 3 BIG photos to frame for the walls at home!!! I have wanted to do this for too long, now it’s time to take some photos just for that purpose! :-)

Plus I’m hoping it will be relaxing; it usually is! I’m meeting Amy for lunch tomorrow, so maybe after that or on Saturday!

have the time of your life

I’m just the tiniest bit jealous

Thank you!

Thank you for your comment! I plan on leaving all the work stress at work when I leave today! I can’t wait to just be outside with no worries!

I’m sorry…don’t be jealous! :-)

I am thankful for this opportunity and my new camera! I can’t wait to see the photos. I’m sure I will have to post some here!

What a sweet comment! I hope you get your Christmas wish. I got mine early because of the 18 months at 0% financing! :-) I love same as cash deals and paying over time!

I’ll post photos soon. Have a great weekend!

ihaveneatstuff to talk about, share and to learn.

I think you did exactly the right thing! I would love to see you make lots and lots of money showing the world how you see the world. I know I sure have enjoyed it.

How sweet! Thank you! I am trying to market more and hope things pick up after the first of the year. I really enjoy photography as a hobbie, so making money here and there with it is wonderful! :) i have a lot to learn, but love the new experiences and I think I will always be learning something for as long as I do this and I hope that is forever! :)

Thanks again!!!!

Dana is...bringing her own sunshine has gotten 4 cheers on this entry.
