How I did it: I never ever ever cut my hair. When I was 19 I was sick of it being so long, I decided to cut it all off. My mom (who was completely against me doing it) suggested that if I'm going to just throw my unwanted hair on the ground then I sould donate it. I went online and found a local salon that participated in the locks of love program, called them, made an apointment, and did it! It was great that I got a new look while helping someone else.

Lessons & tips: Your hair that you are donating can not  have any color!  You have to have 12". The website says only 10", but you really need at least 12" because typically the bottom 2" are so damaged they can't use them.
