How to learn digital scrapbooking
How I did it: I have four kids and was into paper scrapbooking, but it was hard to keep up...Who gets the original, when and where could I make copies...Not to mention taking over the diningroom table for days on end. It got so frustrating!!
I started with GIMP a shareware program and downloading digital freebies. I have since moved up to Paintshop Pro, and am now designing and selling my own kits!!
No we eat at the dining room table everynight, no more mess, no more papercuts!! Finished pages go into "Finished Page" Folder, then get copied into other folders from there...I am compiling books for my kids, my brothers, my cousins, and my parents.
Lessons & tips: Look for freebies to get started!! That way, if you decide it's not for you the investment isn't going to break you. Paintshop Pro or Photoshop cost nearly $75 a piece. Kits go for $1 and up, but why buy a $5 if you only like the flower? Digital kits lend themselves to mixing and matching, just like traditional scrapping. Organize your pictures regularly!! Keep the Terms of Use that is included with kits, these outine copyrights.
