How I did it: I had a crappy realtor. I found the house I wanted through ebby.com she just showed up with the keys and suggested the devil for a lender. Completely useless after we settled on a price with the other party.
Lessons & tips: Don't let your realtor suggest a lender. We got a bit screwed. He told us one interest rate, and showed up with a much higher one at closing randomly. I was so fed up and put out with the whole thing I just said "whatever" and signed the papers. Thanks, assface.
