How I did it: I signed up for DriversEd online. I used the promo code "17MAG" to save some money. My state doesn't count it as "real" drivers ed, but that was okay because I wasn't doing it to fulfill their requirements. I did it because a lot of my friends and cousins failed and I didn't want to fail, too. After a completed the course, I read through the handbook I got from the MVD twice a day until I could answer all the practice questions in the back. Then I picked a day and went for it.

Lessons & tips: Use the code "17MAG" to save money (30%, I think...)
Study hard.
Don't take the test until you're sure you'll pass. If you don't think you can, you won't no matter how much you study.
Don't procrastinate too long. I did and it took me four months when it could have taken four weeks!
Eventually you have to just jump in with both feet!
You know when you're ready. Other people can give their opinion but don't let it bother you or force you into something you don't want.
