How to get my poetry published in an accredited publication

How I did it: I had lost a little bit of hope because I wasn't selected for the SE OH contest, but they did publish me in the summer issue of 17 1/2 Magazine. :) Hurray!
Lessons & tips: You don't necessarily have to come up with something fresh and new... Sometimes the old favorites are what they're looking for. (Mine was the first poem I read/wrote at the Donkey.)
