How to wake up when my alarm clock goes off
"I had an embarassing experience because of arriving too late and decided it was the last time so I just did it. Costs a lot of conscious effort!"
How I did it:
- alarm clock 10 minutes earlier (just in case)
- get my things packed the evening before
- same with clothes
- put the clock at the other side of the room
- cell phone in addition to this
- stand up and put the shutters up!
- turn the alarm clock + cell phone off
- go to bathroom and get dressed
- don't look at the bed anymore
Lessons & tips:
- be hard to yourself (consistence is everything)
- be prepared so you can sleep a little bit longer
- light the room, make it noisy with music
- get dressed as soon as possible to avoid returning to bed
Resources:
- alarm clock with noises that change frequency, volume and become more and more bugging
- cell phone with radio
- bright lamps
- consistence
